SoundCloud can not only help artists grow their fanbase, but it can help fans in discovering new music. When you follow an artist, you are shown similar artists that SoundCloud think you may enjoy listening to, or artists who are followed by people that also follow the artists you like.
A cool feature of SoundCloud is that you can put comments in songs at certain points, for example, if at 1:42 in a dubstep song, there is a filthy bass drop, you can comment at 1:42 “Filthy drop man!!”.
