The Problem

Drops had been dealing with a social media presence that had been growing stagnant for a number of months. They were looking for a new lease of life to be injected into their marketing activities, which included growing a community on Instagram, as well as increasing installs of the app on both Android and iOS.

The Approach

After a period of intense research into the app, its demographics, the existing audience, and where Drops wanted to go, we created a strategy that prioritised the publication of high-quality organic content that centred around educating their audience.

We understood that most people who follow a language-learning app on social media would be actively learning a language, or at the very least be interested in the subject. To harness this, the majority of content we created was focused on language guides, providing tips and trivia on various languages, as well as seasonal content that could be tailored to the various events hosted within the app.

On top of this, to help with wider brand recognition and app installs, we created a range of paid ads that were optimised month on month, to ensure we were reaching the right people at all times.

Drops' Unique Challenge

After we began working together, we discovered that Drops had no existing process for creating, approving, and publishing content internally. Our first step was to build a fully bespoke content management system in Notion, which allowed both our team and theirs to collaborate efficiently and effectively.

Since the introduction of this system, the whole process of content creation, meetings, knowledge management, and more has become infinitely smoother. And now, we credit this system as the reason why the partnership between Giraffe Social and Drops works as well as it does.

Our Work

Much of the content we created for Drops focused on educating their audience on the various aspects of language learning. For the most part, this involved the research and development of unique carousels for Instagram that would allow the Drops audience to fully dive into the subject at hand.

It has been a pleasure to work with Drops for over a year now. They are such a fun and engaging brand, which has been a pleasure to see grow and develop across social media . Using paid ads, we have been able to connect with language learners across the globe and showcase the amazing product of Drops language learning to millions of people.
